Overview
The UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) is the third-tier UEFA club competition below the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. It was introduced in the 2021–22 season to provide wider opportunities for clubs across Europe to participate in international football.
The competition features clubs that qualify through domestic leagues and cups, with some also joining after Europa League knockout eliminations. The UECL includes a group stage, knockout phase, and a neutral-site final. The tournament has helped expand UEFA representation, allowing smaller football nations to gain more European exposure.
